It was at the end of a hot summer day. The sun was setting in Maine, when Ellie and her sister decided to go for a walk near the river. The sunset was absolutely stunning, a mix of purple orange and pink. Once they were close to the water, they saw a small boat off the shore. They decided to make signs to attract the boat conductor. Suddenly, the boat started moving towards the shore. As the boat was getting closer, the two girls realized something strange; there was no one in the boat. Indeed, the boat was moving by itself. That is when Ellie remembered a legend she heard from her grandmother years ago; there was an old man who owned a boat and he died in a tragic accident. His body was never actually found. It is said that his ghost is roaming around the river since his death. After everything becomes clearer in her mind, Ellie realizes that she was spacing out. She turns around to tell Laura, her sister about the story, bu can’t find her. The boat is now gone. “Laura, Laura where are you?” screams Ellie in fear. Now, she only has one thing in mind; where is boat and Laura?
